Work While You Study
Starting March 1, 2024, there's good news for international students in Germany, including those in university prep programs! You now have more flexibility to work while you study:
You can work more throughout the year: the annual limit has increased from 120 to 140 full days (or 240 to 280 half days).
Or, you can work up to 20 hours per week.
This basically means you can hold a part-time job alongside your studies, or take on more hours during semester breaks.
Typical student jobs pay €8-12/hour.
German proficiency can boost your earning potential in part-time jobs.
